I started my career in Portugal in the late 1990s as a young digital entrepreneur, going on to found Urbanature in the early 2000s—one of the pioneer startups to receive direct technical investment and hands-on support from Microsoft.

In 2003, I founded Zalox.com.

Today, my work is focused on building and deploying Generative AI and Agentic AI systems that solve real business problems.

I design and develop AI agents, agent workflows and AI-powered systems, including customer support agents, sales and prospecting agents, email automation agents and internal business assistants. I work extensively with Large Language Models (LLMs), AI APIs and multi-agent systems, designing the architecture, orchestrating agents and integrating AI into real-world software and SaaS environments.

I evaluate different LLMs and AI models for each use case, selecting the most appropriate approach based on capabilities, performance, reliability and cost. My work spans AI Engineering, GenAI, Agentic AI, AI Automation, LLM orchestration, RAG, AI workflow design and AI-powered SaaS integrations.

I have built AI systems that communicate and collaborate across business tools and platforms, including email, Slack and Discord, as well as autonomous agents for customer support, sales, business operations and process automation.

My approach combines AI engineering with a strong background in software development, SaaS and business transformation. I don’t just experiment with AI — I design, build, integrate and deploy AI systems into production environments.

Throughout my career, I have worked on the digital transformation and development of software products and services across multiple industries, including Energy, Fintech, IT Service Management, debt portfolio management, risk assessment, sales force management, call centers and ordering systems.

This experience allows me to bridge the gap between AI technology and real business applications — from identifying the right use case and selecting the right models, to designing the architecture, building the agents and deploying the final solution.
